We had a lady that came with 6 or 7 children every Sunday for breakfast.  They were great and we enjoyed their company.

One Sunday the lady got up and paid and went out of the door with her group.

Five minutes later a child came out of the bathroom and was looking around.  Yes, the lady had left one of the children in the restaurant.  We asked the young 4 year old if she had a telephone number and she didn’t know it.

We had to wait to get the phone call.  Do you have a kid waiting in your restaurant?  We were so delighted when the woman came and collected her.

After that, each week we would ask, have you counted the kids to make sure you have them all with you.

This is one of many things that happened while we owned our restaurant.
